Apply Now: Support USAID and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on an Assessment of Farmer-Centric Models of Data Governance and Ownership
To help address challenges in the Agriculture sector, the USAID Bureau for Resilience and Food Security and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s (BMGF) Agricultural Development program are working with the Digital for Resilience and Food Security buy-in to the Digital Frontiers project to provide USAID, BMGF, partners, and local stakeholders with a better understanding of different farmer-centric data governance and ownership models, the benefits and limitations of each, and guidance for implementing these models. Digital Frontiers has released a request for applications (RFA) to conduct this assessment and provide overarching recommendations on how to attain more farmer-centric models of data governance and ownership.
Digital Health Innovation Accelerator Program
WFP is launching the Digital Health Innovation Accelerator Program, powered by WFP Innovation Accelerator, and the digilab, jointly led by BMZ - Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, KfW - Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the GIZ. We are in search of scalable digital solutions using open standards and approaches towards the creation of global goods, with a focus on building and supporting pandemic preparedness capabilities in low- and middle-income countries. As the COVID-19 vaccination campaign continues globally, we aim to leverage these digital solutions to accelerate the vaccination campaign, thereby maximizing its impact and the recovery of communities and health systems in low- and middle-income countries.
Grand Challenges Canada’s Global Mental Health
Grand Challenges Canada’s Global Mental Health program supports Bold Ideas with Big Impact. The aim of the program is to seed and transition to scale high impact innovations that support the mental health needs of underserved individuals, in particular young people, in low-and middle-income countries. The Global Mental Health program has launched its second round of funding. Seed grants of up to $250,000 CAD are available for innovations that seek to enhance mental health literacy and/or provide youth-friendly services to address the mental health needs of the most underserved young people, aged 10 – 24, in low- and middle-income countries.
King Hassan II Great World Water Prize
The Hassan II Great World Water Prize, is one of the most prestigious and globally recognized prizes. It contributes to creating global awareness and taking concrete measures to promote the cause of water. This Prize is awarded every three years during the opening ceremony of the World Water Forum. On this occasion, a trophy and a certificate are awarded to the winner who benefits from international recognition and visibility. The value of the prize is 500,000 USD, apply at the link above.
