This program will support private sector partners to accelerate sustainable market growth for digital connectivity and financial technology companies serving traditionally excluded consumer populations in developing markets.
This year’s call for partnership concepts is now open to accelerate sustainable market growth for digital connectivity and financial technology companies serving traditionally excluded consumer populations in developing markets that will:
Support the sustainable growth and expansion of competitive internet service providers (ISPs) and related telecommunications infrastructure companies in developing markets.
Support the sustainable growth and expansion of competitive financial technology companies in developing markets.
USAID can develop multiple public-private partnerships, each with approximately $500,000 in USG grant capital, and an equal if a not greater amount of private sector resource commitments.
2023 Call for proposals for the Indigenous Community Media Fund
The Indigenous Community Media Fund at Cultural Survival provides opportunities for Indigenous community radio stations and media outlets to strengthen their broadcast infrastructure and systems while providing training opportunities to their community journalists through a participatory and dynamic grants program. The initiative enhances community efforts to establish and ensure the sustainability of Indigenous community-controlled media.
Indigenous community radio stations and other community media outlets and groups may apply for a grant of up to $6,000. Radio network proposals presented by three or more Indigenous radio stations can apply for funding up to $12,000.
The 4th Call for Proposals of the IKI Small Grants
KI Small Grants selects project proposals with a total funding volume between EUR 60,000 and EUR 200,000. Proposals with financial requests over or under the above amounts will not be considered. Generally, an increase in funding during or after the end of projects is not envisaged
Innovative and ambitious projects with a focus on mitigating greenhouse gas emissions are explicitly invited and especially welcome. Proposals that aim at contributing to gender justice and follow a gender-transformative approach as outlined in the IKI Gender Strategy are encouraged since gender is recognized as a significant factor influencing the vulnerability and adaptive capacity of individuals and groups: Working towards gender justice is a declared objective of IKI Small Grants following the targets of this strategy.
Digital FrontiersRequest for Proposals (RFP)
DAI, the implementer of the USAID-funded Digital Frontiers program, invites qualified organizations to submit applications to develop technical guidance for Implementing Partners (IPs) that analyzes cross-sectoral efficiencies when implementing digital tech solutions within agriculture, nutrition, WSSH, and resilience sectoral areas.
DAI will review all proposals, make an award based on the technical and cost evaluation criteria stated above and select the offeror whose proposal provides the best value to DAI, and specifically to the objectives of this initiative. DAI may also exclude an offer from consideration if it determines that an Offeror is "not responsible", i.e., that it does not have the management and financial capabilities required to perform the work required.

Malaysia: Japanese Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Project 2023
The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia is accepting applications for the “Japanese Grant Assistance Grass-Roots Human Security Project (GGP) 2023”.
GGP is a financial assistance scheme for development projects designed to meet the diverse needs of developing countries in the field of Basic Human Needs and Human Security. This scheme supports projects proposed by such bodies as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local government authorities, educational institutions, and medical institutions.
The GGP has been granted in 141 developing countries and regions and has acquired an excellent reputation for providing flexible and timely support to development projects at the grassroots level. In Malaysia, from 1989 until March 2022, 158 projects received the GGP with a total grant amount of around RM 19. 7million.
Fulbright Foreign Student Program (Philippines)
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is a scholarship opportunity for Filipinos to study at the graduate level (master’s or doctoral studies) or pursue non-degree doctoral dissertation research in the United States.
Grants under the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for Filipinos are for a maximum of one academic year for non-degree, one to two years for master’s, and two years for doctoral degree studies. The grant provides for round-trip international travel, monthly maintenance allowance, tuition and fees, book/supplies allowance, and health and accident insurance.
2023 Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers
This annual award, which began in 2007, is organized and presented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan and the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS). Its purpose is to increase motivation among young researchers contributing to research and development in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and related industries in developing regions, which is promoted by Japan for the benefit of those countries.
Award Details
The award winners will be invited to Japan to receive their awards personally and present their research results and achievements.
The winners will be bestowed a testimonial by the Chairman of the AFFRC during the commendation ceremony and will also receive a cash prize of US$5,000 each from JIRCAS (MOTAI-JIRCAS Award*).
Number of Awardees: Up to three award winners will be named.
Cambodia – Horizon Fellowship 2023: Call for Applications!

Europe
Lithuania, Call for Proposals on ICT
The projects focus on the introduction (application) of new technological solutions for digitalization or automation of production processes.
The program is financed by Norway. Lithuanian-Norwegian partnerships are highly encouraged. A project partner from Norway can contribute to the project activities, e.g. by consulting or advising on the application of technological solutions.
Funding Information
The available budget for the call is approx. 3,000,000 euro.
The grant amount per project could be in the range of 200,000-600,000 euros.
The grant rate (aid intensity) for the acquisition of technological solutions (equipment, including software) is 45% for micro and small entities and 35% for medium entities. The aid intensity for consultancy is up to 50%.
European Union Prize for Citizen Science 2023
The European Union Prize for Citizen Science recognizes outstanding achievements in the advancement of knowledge through the empowerment of civil society in the development of the future.
The Prize honors Citizen Science Initiatives in the European Research Area that enact change, expand knowledge, and demonstrate innovative Open Science processes that rethink existing practices while addressing social, cultural, environmental, educational, and political advancement.

Middle East and Africa
Open Competition for Cybersecurity Youth Academy in Jordan
The U.S. Embassy of Amman of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for not-for-profit organizations to submit applications to develop and implement a cybersecurity academy that will increase cybersecurity awareness, technical skills, and capacity building for 50 Jordanian youth between the ages of 18-24 years old.
Proposals should present a curriculum and program that will teach youth how to properly leverage new technologies to combat future security challenges. The activities should be interactive and hands-on with practical and tangible deliverables for program participants.
Funding Information
Length of performance period: 12 to 24 months
Number of awards anticipated: 1-2 awards (dependent on amounts)
Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $200,000
Climate Finance Accelerator Nigeria: Call for Proposals
The Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) is a global technical assistance program funded by the UK government to directly support climate projects to access finance.
In Nigeria, the CFA brings together the key actors in the climate finance investment chain: project proponents and developers, finance providers, and policymakers. Their aim is to facilitate a collaborative approach to unlocking finance for climate projects at scale and creating a pipeline of ‘investment-ready’ low-carbon projects.

Public Affairs Small Grants Program in Argentina
This grants program supports projects proposed by Argentine individuals and/or educational and cultural non-profit institutions that fulfill U.S. Embassy goals and objectives: to strengthen the bilateral ties between the United States and Argentina, promote economic prosperity and security through academic and cultural initiatives seeking to increase understanding between U.S. and Argentine people and institutions.
Grants will be awarded in amounts between $10,000 and $100,000 U.S. dollars, disbursed in Argentine pesos at the official current exchange rate at the moment of the transfer to successful Argentine grantees. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate cost-sharing, public-private partnerships, cooperation among multiple partners, or innovative means to implement cost savings in their proposals.
Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation Micro-grants Program – Canada
Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2022/23 Micro-grants. They have six $5000 cash micro-grants available under four categories:
The Climate-Related Product Innovation Micro-grant, sponsored by UPS: a $5000 cash grant to be awarded to a business demonstrating innovation to address urgent climate-related issues.
The Global Impact Micro-grant, sponsored by UPS: a $5000 cash grant to be awarded to a business who has demonstrated international scale.
3 x Woman Identifying Business Owner Micro-grant, sponsored by TD #TDWomenInEnterprise: three micro-grants of $5000 cash each ($15,000 total) to be awarded to women identifying business owners seeking access to a business grant to scale their business.
The Digital Innovator Micro-grant, sponsored by Meta: a $5000 cash grant plus $5000 in Meta advertising credits to be awarded to a business who moved their operations online as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Meta is also providing Meta advertising credits worth $2000 to three additional businesses who apply for (but do not win) the Digital Innovator Micro-grant.
