Apply Now: $25,000 for Your Technology Nonprofit Startup
The Accelerator is a flagship program for tech nonprofits. Fast Forward bridges the tech and nonprofit worlds, providing training and resources applicable to the challenges only a tech nonprofit entrepreneur knows. Up to 10 tech nonprofits will receive a $25,000 philanthropic grant, community building among the 2023 cohort, meet dozens of mentors from the tech & social sector, and make connections to people who can help them scale.
One Young World/AstraZeneca Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 3
Applications are open for the One Young World/AstraZeneca Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 3. For this challenge, they are seeking innovative, youth-led projects which tackle the causes of air pollution and focus on the long-term health of young people. What they are looking for:
Projects which focus on individual behavior change, new technologies, or multi-stakeholder advocacy approaches to change laws/policies.
Sustainable solutions which can be scaled up to be implemented in other communities
Projects should focus on cities or communities with high levels of air pollution or pollution-related illness. A preference will be given to projects which operate in a low- or lower-middle-income country or setting.
Projects should be youth-led, where young people (30 and under) are involved in the design or delivery of the initiative, and where the long-term health of young people is at the heart of the solution.
Projects should also focus equally on tackling air pollution (indoor or outdoor) and its link to long-term health.
Projects with a focus on the health of women and girls are preferred.
One Young World/Deloitte Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 13 ($50,000 grant)
Deloitte is proud to support the Lead2030 Challenge for SDG13 for the second year in a row. Through this challenge, they seek to empower passionate people to find meaningful and innovative ways of tackling climate change.
In line with Deloitte’s ambition to address climate change through ecosystem engagement, the challenge seeks to support scalable youth-led solutions that:
Reduce the impacts of climate change, and/or empower others to act on climate change
Address root causes of the issue
Demonstrate ability to drive impact and potential to scale
Collaborate with others to accelerate or broaden the impact
Utilize innovative approaches
The challenge is open to young people from social enterprises, non-profits, or community organizations.
Social Shifters is excited to announce its Global Innovation Challenge to help young leaders and founders to explore, start and grow their ideas to solve the social or environmental issues that matter to them most.
They are looking for creative ideas, projects, and business solutions to the problems that matter most to you and your community. They welcome ideas at any stage and from anywhere in the world.
Open Call: “Promoting Human Security Approach to Violence Prevention” Project in Thailand
As part of the UN Country Team to promote inclusive, sustainable, and human-centered development for all people in Thailand, the Office of the Resident Coordinator, The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in collaboration with the National Security Council of Thailand (NSC) have launched the “Promoting Human Security Approach to Violence Prevention” project to help foster locally driven social innovations to overcome cyclical political and developmental challenges within Thailand.
The grant activities are sought to promote the whole of society approach in developing concrete and integrated locally driven people-centered innovative solutions and support to address local grievances in at least two selected areas.
The main objectives are;
To promote the use of human security approach to address grievances at the locality level.
To promote and experiment the innovative solutions driven by a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach which will allow aspirations and goals of all parties to be accommodated in a collaborative fashion.
Indonesia: Call for Submission of Devco Projects 2023
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta announces the call for the submission of small-scale development cooperation projects to be implemented in 2022. The application packages are to be submitted both electronically and in a hard copy until October 8, 2022.
The offered funding does not exceed 20 000 EUR (approx. 327 M IDR), and both the personal and travel costs claimed within the budget must not exceed 25 % of the overall budget.
Environmental Justice Reporting Story Grants for Asia-Pacific Youth
Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering up to 20 reporting grants to youth journalists in the Asia-Pacific region, to support the production of in-depth stories on environmental and climate injustice. EJN is pleased to offer around 20 story grants of USD 1,000 each on average to youth journalists aged 30 and below from the Asia-Pacific to produce innovative and engaging stories on environmental and climate issues in the region.
They encourage stories that report on potential solutions and highlight how vulnerable communities are responding to environmental challenges. We are interested in supporting stories that are told in creative and innovative ways or using data to illustrate the issue and make it easier to understand.
