🌾 Producer Organization-Led Projects
The Global Agriculture & Food Security Program (GAFSP) has launched its 8th Call for Proposals, aiming to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of Producer Organizations (POs). This initiative supports POs in providing better services to their member farmers and effectively delivering GAFSP program objectives at both country and regional levels. The program emphasizes subsidiarity and partnership, ensuring decisions and implementations occur at the most localized level to maximize impact on PO members and ensure efficiency and responsiveness to the needs of smallholder producers. Projects should demonstrate clear and tangible outcomes at the member producers’ level, in addition to results at the PO institutional level.

The Maldives Resilient Reef Ecosystem and Economy for the Future (RREEF) Grant Programme aims to establish sustainable financing mechanisms to support coral conservation and facilitate the development of projects and businesses that contribute to the resilience of coral reefs and the communities living on these atolls. Funded by the Global Fund for Coral Reefs, the programme focuses on engaging local private sector actors, including micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and supports initiatives in sustainable livelihoods, gender-sensitive resilience building, nature-based tourism, community-based adaptation projects, and marine conservation awareness.
