Apply Now: $285,000 for Global Sustainable Technology Solutions
How can technology improve sustainable production, consumption, and resource management, reduce pollution, and protect biodiversity to create a greener future?
As part of the 5th annual Call for Code Global Challenge, design and build an open-source solution in the cloud to take on a sustainability issue. They are calling on teams of developers and problem solvers to leverage open innovation and develop technology solutions that address specific global sustainability problems in unique, clearly demonstrable ways. The top Global Challenge solution receives implementation support from IBM and the Call for Code ecosystem to make a real impact in the communities with the greatest need.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health Pilot Projects
The Elton John AIDS Foundation champions the right of all young people to have access to high-quality care, services, and information that address their health and well-being needs wherever they are, free from discrimination and stigma. In order to meet the current and future needs of Very Young Adolescents (VYAs) — who are all too often forgotten in adolescent programming–, the Foundation is seeking pilot project proposals to measurably and meaningfully engage, educate and link VYAs aged 10 – 14 to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Information and Services.
The Foundation is now accepting concept notes for pioneering solutions which cultivate relevant, relatable, and impactful ways of reaching VYAs with Sexual and Reproductive Health information, services, and products.
GMS SAFSP Call for Proposals: Demonstration Pilots of Innovative Technologies
The Greater Mekong Subregion Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Program (GMS SAFSP) is a program supported by the Asian Development Bank and driven by the vision of the Greater Mekong Subregion as a leading supplier of safe and climate-friendly agri-food products. To pursue this vision, the SAFSP has opened a call for proposals for demonstration pilots of innovative technologies in Cambodia, the People’s Republic of China (Yunnan and Guangxi only), Lao PDR, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
Government departments and institutes, civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, the private sector - especially agriculture sector technology companies, regional organizations and universities, and research institutes based in any of the target countries can all apply.
Japanese Award for Most Innovative Development Project (MIDP) 2022
The Japanese Award for Most Innovative Development Project is a competitive grant program under the umbrella of the Global Development Awards Competition (GDAC), administered by GDN, funded under the Policy and Human Resources Development Fund (PHRD) trust fund managed by the World Bank, and generously supported by the Ministry of Finance, Government of Japan.
The award program invites non-profit NGOs and CSOs to submit project proposals supporting (in particular) improved service delivery, and innovative approaches that may be scaled up through a grant. The Award targets projects currently at the stage of implementation, and which have a high potential for impact targeting exceptionally marginalized and disadvantaged groups located in developing countries - per the World Bank’s recognition as low and middle-income countries.
THRIVE/Shell Climate-Smart Agriculture Challenge – Supporting Farmers (Up to $100,000 in funding)
The THRIVE/ Shell Climate-Smart Agriculture Challenge is now open for submissions to identify and support top start-up and scale-up innovators who are driving the global transformation to climate-smart agriculture practices. The challenge aligns with Shell’s Powering Progress strategy and the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Call for Nominations: Women in AI Awards 2023
WAI Awards 2023 will honor the top Women in AI in the Asia-Pacific. Committed to supporting and rewarding excellence to Women in AI, the WAI Awards 2023 will be prestigious in their recognition and vital in building credibility and exposure for Women in AI in the Asia-Pacific.
The Obama Foundation opened applications for its six-month, non-residential leadership development and community engagement program that connects leaders across regions in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.
The program will bring together 35 emerging leaders from across each region. Participants (known as “Obama Leaders” or “Leaders”) will take part in weekly sessions that include:
Practical tools and training for deepening values-based leadership
Individualized or small-group coaching
Community groups
Conversations with thought leaders
Cultural programming that showcases the richness of diversity in the region
Curated spaces for deep personal reflection and interpersonal learning with peers
Upon completion of the program, Obama Leaders will become part of the Obama Foundation’s global leadership network—a growing community of changemakers who are advancing tangible solutions to the greatest challenges of our time.
Direct Aid Program in Indonesia
The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a flexible small grants program funded by the Australian Government and managed through the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) overseas posts.
DAP activities should primarily be aimed at achieving practical and tangible outcomes of high development impact. DAP is able to fund activities that have a direct, practical, and immediate impact, including capacity-building programs in the areas of governance and human rights engagement.
UK/Vietnam Season Collaboration Grants
The British Council is inviting collaborative proposals by the UK and Vietnamese partners to join them in celebrating the UK/Vietnam Season 2023.
The Season will showcase the best of the UK and Vietnamese culture, support professional development across sectors, and build strong networks between the UK and Vietnam.
This is a unique opportunity for Vietnamese and UK organizations across Education, English, and the Arts and Creative Industries to co-create work for the UK/Viet Nam Season 2023.
